Today Hillcrest’s first XV played St Paul’s second XV who are top of the table. The boys put on a good game - clawing for every meter and protecting the ball well. They played the best game of the season and proved to themselves that they are worth the jerseys they wear. The backline’s boot managed to keep the boys in St Paul’s half for a good portion of the game. The backline managed to pick up their game from previous weeks and came up with some stunning runs! The forwards also did their part in putting pressure on the St. Paul’s backline and forward pack with some good counter rucking and steals at the breakdown. The backs and forwards managed to put on some good tackles with tackler of the day going to Bryce Johnson. Although it was a loss, it was a spectacular game and the boys can hold their heads up high.
